– Happy National Smoothie Day!! After a weekend of celebrations, it’s definitely a good idea to start Monday on a healthy note. The mango and pineapple are both high in vitamin C and antioxidants, and the ginger adds a nice kick to the smoothie. As always, feel free to add in the nutritional boosts of your choice (we used flax) and let me know what your favorite is!
Ingredients
1 cup mango, peeled and diced
¾ cup pineapple chunks
½ cup milk (adjust to achieve desired conistency)
1 piece crystallized ginger
Dash of vanilla
A few ice cubes
Optional nutritional boosts (add about 1 tsp of any): flax seeds, hemp seeds, chia seeds, soaked nuts (e.g. almonds or cashews), vanilla protein powder, acai powder, or goji berries
Method
1 Add all ingredients to a high speed blender and blend until smooth and then enjoy. So easy!
