You dim sum, you lose sum, but these potstickers are a sure-fire winner! It’s semi-homemade using prepackaged @nasoya dumplings and ready in less than 10 min. There are instructions on the package, but my recipe below adds a little oomph and spice to the dish. You can have these for a quick lunch or a side dish to your favorite Chinese meal. My son loves these in his lunchbox Thermos!
Ingredients
1 package @Nasoya dumplings (available in Target!)
2 tbs sesame oil
1 tsp each ginger and garlic (optional)
1 tbs soy sauce or stir fry sauce
½ tbs sambale or sriracha (to taste)
2 tbs hot water
Garnish: cilantro, green onions, and black sesame seeds (optional)
Method
1 Heat oil in the skillet and place dumplings in the skillet in a single layer
2 Cook for about 2 minutes and turn them over
3 Add ginger, garlic, and stir fry sauce. Cover and cook for 2 more minutes
4 Uncover, add water, stir gently, and cook for about 1 more minute until the water evaporates and a sauce forms. Note: be very careful to not overcook as the dumplings will get chewy
5 Add garnishes and Enjoy! You can dip into your favorite dipping sauce but I find these to be delicious on their own
