SPICY WAFFLES (Paryushan friendly)

These waffles are amazing! They are perfect for any meal and travel well in the lunchbox. They come together super quickly so it’s perfect for those days that you’re in a rush. I use our mini waffle maker and they turn out so crunchy and flavorful!

INGREDIENTS

½ cup chickpea flour

½ cup rice flour

½ cup ragi flour

½ cup oatmeal flour

2 tbs Bisquick

2 tsp red chili powder

Salt to taste

Pinch hing (asafoetida)

1 tsp turmeric

1 tsp ajwain seeds

1 tsp cumin seeds
2 tbs yogurt, whisked
1-2 cups water

1 tbs dried methi (fenugreek) 8-10 crushed dried curry leaves

Note: you can omit the ragi, oatmeal, or Bisquick flours if you don’t have them. Also, you can cook these in a pan like pancakes if you don’t have a waffle iron

Instructions

1. Mix all ingredients together with 1 cup of the water and add more if needed. Set aside

2. Heat the waffle iron and lightly spread oil on the top and bottom. Ladle batter onto the heated waffle iron
