Do you know what time it is? Spicy Spaghetti Sunday is inspired by Ministry of Curry’s masala pasta and is the easiest to make when you want a carbo-licious meal! I used bucatini in this recipe because I wanted the delicious sauce inside and outside of the pasta. Best part about this recipe is that you can customize it any way you want
Ingredients
1 package favorite spaghetti or pasta
1-2 tbs olive oil
1 tbs dried basil or Italian seasoning
2-3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbs red chili flakes
½ tsp of red chili powder (optional)
Salt to taste
2-3 cups favorite marinara sauce
Fresh basil
Optional: favorite veggies like peppers or red onion, sliced thinly
Method
1 Boil pasta for 1 min less than instructions and wash in cold water and let sit. Reserve about ½ cup of the cooked water
2 Heat oil in a skillet and saute garlic, dried seasoning, red chili flakes, and veggies for 1 min. Add the red chili powder and immediately toss the cooked spaghetti in the oil. I generally turn off the heat while tossing
3 Add marinara sauce and cheese and turn on heat and finish cooking for 2-3 min
4 Top with basil and mangia!
