We are lucky to have eaten at really great restaurants and today I have been remembering one of the most phenomenal meals we’ve had at the Shanghai Terrace at the Peninsula Hotel in downtown Chicago. Shanghai Terrace serves Chinese cuisine with a focus on Shanghainese, Cantonese, and Sichuanese classics. The last time we went was last year to celebrate Mr. VIP’s birthday so I’m sure the menu items may have changed slightly but I’m pretty sure we ordered every vegetarian item on the menu and literally every single thing we ordered was super flavorful and well presented.
Here are some of the dishes we enjoyed:
🌱 Vegetable dumplings <3
🌱 Crispy tofu
🌱 Shanghai Terrace dragon cucumber salad <3
🌱 Wok fried Asian vegetables
🌱 Braised eggplant
🌱 Szechwan string beans
🌱 Fried rice
🌱 Vegetable fried noodles <3
🌱 Dessert platter – I only had the ice cream and it was creamy and yummy!

Highly recommend to plan ahead and get those reservations in!
