it would be a “strobbery” to not share this “waffley” pretty breakfast with you today! All puns aside, this waffle is super simple to pull together and feels super special. I made my own waffle batter using purely elizabeth ancient grain pancake mix but you can use frozen waffles as a time saver.
Ingredients
1 cup pancake mix or Bisquick
¼ cup milk (or water)
2 tbs oil
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp cinnamon
Dash of nutmeg
2 tbs ground flax powder
6 tbs warm water
Garnish (pick your favorites!)
Nutella/cookie butter
Strawberries, sliced
Whipped cream
Process
Mix the ground flax powder with the warm water and let sit for 5 min
Wash, dry, and slice the strawberries
Mix the remaining dry ingredients together and then whisk in milk, oil, and flax mixture
Heat and grease the waffle maker and make the waffle (can make pancakes if you don’t have a waffle maker)
Once waffle is cooked, plate it and lightly spread Nutella/cookie butter over the waffle
Top with strawberries and finish with whipped cream before enjoying a berry yummy breakfast
